Brief History

1956

"St. Catherine's School," a bilingual girls' school, is founded by Mrs. Mazzini in Buenos Aires with 75 students and 10 teachers.

1969

"St. Catherine's Club," a hockey club for students and alumnae, is established.

1973

Mrs. Mazzini introduces the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in Argentina and implements it at "St. Catherine's School": 11 students take the first exams.

1982

"Moorlands School," a co-educational institution and one of the first to offer bilingual education in the area, is inaugurated in Tortuguitas, Buenos Aires Province.

1992

Mabel María Manzitti, our co founder, introduces the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in both schools.

1999

Both schools incorporate the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), becoming the first to offer all three IB programmes to their students.

1998

"St. Catherine's School" becomes co-educational.

2008

"St. Catherine's School" and "Moorlands School" begin operating as two campuses of the same institution, "St. Catherine's Moorlands School." "St. Catherine's Club" is renamed "St. Catherine's Moorlands Club."

2021

¨Moorlands School Uruguay¨ project is launched, with its opening scheduled for 2025.

2023

Pilar Campus of St Catherine´s Moorlands School is launched with its opening scheduled for 2026.
